Just a quick note to say thanks a million for looking after us so well at the weekend. Thanks also for being reasonable in relation to the costs (even though we had one or two dropouts). The girls were all very happy with the accommodation so hopefully, you will get some repeat business from some of the group.

I've stayed at Grattan House some dozen times over the past few years. The accommodations are superb: spacious modern rooms, very comfortable furnishings, great views and excellent service. The location is ideal as well: Galway Bay is across the street, it's a 15-minute walk into Galway city, and the center of Salthill (lively pubs, restaurants, shops, and services) is just up the road. Sean Treacy, the owner, has been unfailingly helpful and congenial. All in all an ideal place to stay in Galway.

I regularly bring American university students to study in Galway. These apartments are ideal - self-contained, clean, well maintained, and offering all the amenities my students expect. The owner lives on-site and is very accommodating. He genuinely cares that everyone enjoys their stay. It is an easy walk to the NUI, Galway campus. A deli offering pre-prepared meals is just across the street, and a grocery store is about a 10-minute walk for students who prefer to cook for themselves. Nearby restaurants, fast food joints, and pubs cater to all tastes in the Salthill area. In addition, it is an easy 15-minute walk to all the culture and entertainment that Galway has to offer in the historical city center. I highly recommend Arús Grattan and Grattan House apartments for all who want the comforts of home while visiting Galway.

I felt right at home in Galway immediately at this location. The apartment is super easy to find, very convenient to access from whatever parts of the city I wanted to see, and very comfortable as well. The internet connection was great, onsite laundry gave me one less thing to worry about, and the patio with a view; just amazing. Sean himself is extremely easy to communicate with, both electronically and in person. He is professional and incredibly competent as the building owner/manager. More than that though, he's just plain enjoyable to speak with and nice. This has been my best stay so far, and I genuinely hope to come back to Galway and Arus Grattan again. It felt like home.

My mother, daughter and I stayed at Arus Grattan for a week in late August/ early September. We were returning to Ireland from Canada after a long absence and were warmly greeted by Sean Treacy who showed us an impeccably clean and very comfortable spacious apartment overlooking the ocean. The apartment kitchen contained all the essentials for cooking and complimentary tea and coffee to start us off. During our stay, any request made was fulfilled from additional linen to a chair on the beach for my mother. Sean even offered to bring my mother to a doctor when she wasn't feeling well. He checked on us periodically to make sure we had everything we needed but was not intrusive. We had to extend our stay by a day which he accommodated and the following day gave us an apt to use while we waited for our ride to pick us up at 8 pm. His son Cathal, a student working with his father, again showed the Irish hospitality and generosity of spirit by pointing out local attractions. The building had a security access and elevator as well as a gourmet shop (Morton's) just behind the building meaning we could dine in style on a pauper's budget! We thoroughly enjoyed our visit which was made all the more interesting because of the support we received from Sean and his family. We felt safe and secure at all times and left feeling very refreshed. Thanks to all at Arus Grattan!

I am from Galway but live abroad, so I return often. We have rented the penthouse apartment five times, every time the apartment is in perfect order. Mr. Treacy is very helpful and friendly every time. The apartment is very well organized, with everything in working order and spotless. The views and location are hard to beat and I like the secure parking area. I am looking forward to our next visit already.

For anyone looking for a quiet apartment for leisure or business, Arus Grattan is an excellent choice. It is located within walking distance of the heart of Galway's cultural center, a few paces from the seaside promenade and conveniently located beside both a trendy gourmet food market that sells wine and a more mainstream food market. Within two blocks are a bank, post office, cafes, hair studios and gas station. Security gates and an underground parking lot which is nice in rainy weather. The apartments are fully equipped for self-catering. There is an elevator and stairs. The owner lives nearby and is at hand and he is very hospitable. Reasonable rates, especially during the offseason. I will go back again and again.
